About PMA

The concept of PMA - positive mental attitude - was first introduced by writer Napoleon Hill in his book "Think and grow rich" in 1937.

Picked up by legendary punk band Bad Brains this message was spread in the vital music scene of New York Hardcore Punk in the 80s. Several bands took up this spirit, as can be seen in their lyrics and powerful music, for example Agnostic Front, Cro-Mags, Sick of it All and H2O.

The spirit of PMA is so powerful, it can push you through all sorts of trials and tribulations. And it's a great uniting spirit, because it doesn't care about how you look or where you come from. So in our days it may be a uniting force crossing physical borders and mental prejudices.

PMA means to me:

  • never give up
  • don't care what others say
  • hold on to your dreams and passion
  • growing together, sharing and encouraging
  • unity worldwide

Cheers
